Life is just a video game.

You are born. You have a set of sensory experiences. And eventually, game over.

So why not go for the high score?

Most people have this part figured out.

But they usually end up playing the wrong game.

People play all sorts of games.

The money game. The status game. The health game. The approval game. The security game. The possessions game. The busyness game. The happiness game.

All of this is bullshit.

There is only one game that actually matters.

The experience game.

Don’t believe me?

Imagine you are on your deathbed, looking back on your life.

What are you thinking about?

Is it all the money you have in the bank? No.

Is it the approval that you got from the people you didn’t care about? No.

Is it all the things you crossed off your endless to-do list? No.

You are thinking about all the memories you made.

And regretting the ones you missed out on.

Even if you don’t agree with me, you still have to play some game.

If you stay stuck on autopilot, the game you play is chosen for you.

And it usually isn’t the one you want.

It’s a never-ending battle to redirect your focus to the right game.

Bryan Johnson is a prime example of a person playing the wrong game.

He spent years playing the money game.

Now he is playing the health and status game.

What he is doing is admirable. But it misses the point.

Money, health, and status aren’t the objective.

They’re power-ups.

They only matter if you use them to unlock better experiences.

The game ends either way.

Play accordingly.
